Safety & moderation

Ses verifies that a person controls an email address at a supported Stockholm university. That is all it proves. Ses does not run background checks, does not verify legal identity, and cannot guarantee anyone's safety or intentions.

• Meet in a public place the first few times.
• Tell a friend where you're going and who you're meeting.
• Arrange your own transport there and back.
• Trust your instincts and leave whenever you want to.

• Never send money, gift cards or crypto — no exceptions.
• Be careful about moving to another app early; conversations there aren't protected by Ses moderation.
• Don't share your home address, schedule or financial details.
• Block anyone who pressures, threatens or makes you uncomfortable.
• Report misconduct so moderators can act on it.

Use Report or block on a Discover profile, match or conversation. Choose a category and describe the incident. Blocking takes effect immediately for you and closes an active match. Reports enter a private queue; only authorised staff can review them and related context. We may remove a photo, suspend or ban an account, or dismiss a report after review. A suspension or ban closes current matches, and restoring the account does not reopen them. We record the decision and the reason.

Underage concerns, threats, exploitation and non-consensual intimate content receive priority. Email [email protected] if reporting in the app is unavailable or you need to appeal. Do not include OTP codes or unnecessary sensitive attachments.

New photos require approval before other members can see them. Biographies and messages pass a narrow server-side check for a few high-confidence threats and explicit sexual solicitations. That check misses context and evasions, so report rule-breaking content promptly. Read our Community Guidelines.
